Similes

We are learning about similes so we can use them in our writing. Here a some simple ones that our class and I have come up with.

The baby is as noisy as the traffic.
The baby is as cute as a bunny.
The baby’s skin is as smooth as silk.

The monkey is hairy like a lions main.
The monkey is as funny as a joke.
The monkey is as small as a teddy bear.

The car is shiny like a new tire.
The car is as fast as a cheetah.
The car is as clean as a mansion.

As brave as a person who feels nervous.
As brave as spider man.
As brave as a solider.

As smooth as a fluffy blanket.
As smooth as a bird’s feathers.
As smooth as a baby’s skin.

As soft a pillow.
As soft as a bean bag.
As soft as a plastic bag.

As happy as a bird sawing through the sky.
As happy as a teacher who had a great day.
As happy as a little girl on her birthday.

As loud as ecstatic fans at a rugby match.
As loud as the All Blacks performing the haka.
As loud as our school on the last day of the term.

As warm as a heater.
As warm as a blanket.
As warm as the islands in the summer.
